LadderWise is a platform dedicated to contractors and professionals involved in the construction industry. Aims to pave the way in finding the best projects suited for the services and expertise you can offer. I was responsible for product design, user interface and user experience design, front-end development, and specially the design system.
I was the lead front-end developer and associate UI/UX designer on this project. I was responsible for the wireframe and design system.
Throughout this project, the goal of the design team is to provide a better user experience design and new visual identity. It needed a design system that could incorporate rules and guidelines covering aspects like color, typography, elements, photography, and more. As a result, I chose to explore Atomic Design as a potential solution.
To ensure scalability for the new website, I developed a design system following Brad Frost's Atomic Design approach.
By employing this approach, I established a design system encompassing a comprehensive library of UI components. Furthermore, this system facilitates quicker and higher-quality content creation, fosters a shared language across various disciplines, enhances accessibility for testing, and serves as a forward-looking basis for the continued development and expansion of the digital brand.
I used the Poppins and Source Sans Pro fonts for this design, both of which contribute to a modern, clean, and user-friendly aesthetic. These sans-serif typefaces impart a contemporary vibe to the project while also elevating readability and accessibility. The fonts encapsulate a refined simplicity that underscores the design's elegance. They are straightforward and spacious, yet possess subtle nuances in their ligatures that sustain a captivating visual allure.

During a challenging and difficult time in my life, I met a senior software engineer named Pheng, who recognized my potential and introduced me to the tech industry.
Pheng offered me a job in the company he was working for in America as a CRM Automation Specialist but I declined it, to prioritize completing my college education. I then joined his startup company (LadderWise) as a front-end developer. He trained me and eventually led the front-end development team. As my journey continued, I worked as an associate product and UI/UX designer with engineer Adriel and senior designer Orland from UAE.
I learned a lot of lessons and gained real-world experience through this journey. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked with professionals and gained early exposure to the industry's workings as a college student. Their guidance and mentorship shaped me to become a better and best version of myself, allowing me to unleash my potential and cultivate new skills.
